Overview : Olympic National Park is located in the U.S. state of Washington, in the Olympic Peninsula.
The park can be divided into three basic regions: the Pacific coastline, the Olympic Mountains, and the temperate rainforest.

Hurricane Ridge : Named for its intense gales and winds, Hurricane Ridge is a mountainous area (about 5200 ft elevation) in Olympic National Park, about 17 miles south of the nearby city Port Angeles. In clear weather, it offers fantastic views of the Mountain Range.

Well, we didn't have clear weather when we visited during Labor Day in September 2009 :)

Lake Crescent area : Nestled in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains, Lake Crescent is a deep, glacially carved lake with pristine waters.
We stayed at the Lake Crescent lodge on its shores, and hiked upto Marymere Falls.

Hoh Rainforest : The Hoh Rain Forest is one of the few temperate rain forests in the U.S., averaging 140 to 170 inches (or 12 to 14 feet!) of precipitation each year. The result is a lush, green canopy of big trees. Mosses and ferns that blanket the surfaces add another dimension to the enchantment of the rainforest.

Ruby & Kalaloch Beaches : Kalaloch and Ruby Beach are located on the southwest coast of the Olympic Peninsula, and provide some amazing sights of the pristine beaches and marine wildlife. North of Ruby Beach, the Hoh River creates a natural boundary for the park.

Lake Quinault area : The Quinault Valley is located in the southwestern area of the park, about a three-hour drive from Port Angeles, and has a similar backdrop as the Hoh Rainforest.
We stayed at the Rainforest lodge right on the lake and hiked around Maple Loop, and Lake Quinault loop.

Out & About : After visiting the Olympic National Park, we spent a day roaming around Seattle.
