Chandi > New Satellite discovered

Pasadena, CA (Sep.20,2006) Scientists at the California Institute of Technology have discovered a satellite orbiting the farthest object ever seen in the Solar System (2003 UB313). The existence of this moon will help astronomers resolve the question of whether 2003 UB313 is more massive than Pluto. A paper describing the discovery was submitted to the Astrophysical Journal Letters.

The Monarch

A slightly different perspective on the butterfly. I chased him around for about half an hour before he gave up on me and flew far away.

Perched high

I guess I should be looking up more often :)
That aside, how do you go about identifying which bird this is? I don't have the first clue...

Smoke on the water

Actually, it's 'Fire in the Sky'. But that would be a boring caption now, wouldn't it? :)
A desperation shot - didn't have time for anything else today. Didn't even post-process this - straight from the camera.

Although I liked the bubble in this one better, the white backdrop didn't do it for me.
